IS MR MODI TURNING HIS BACK ON HIS FRIENDS ?

I am answering one of my friends on Facebook, who said in response to a picture that I reposted from Twitter,  that “PM Modi is single handedly responsible for reviving civilizational issues. The people of India know this, hence he keeps winning elections.” And he added: “You are behaving exactly like Arun Shourie, Swami and Jethmalani: turning against Modi because you can’t stand the fact that he doesn’t give you importance. I say this again, he owes you nothing. He is busy serving the people of India. Get over it ».

Fair enough. Firstly, no doubt, the cartoon, which is not mine, is exaggerated: Narendra Modi is not Aurangzeb, and remains THE Prime Minister India needs. Yes, he has done wonderful things, and is still performing well when it is needed. Yes, there is NO alternative to Mr Modi at the moment ; and no doubt he is going to be reelected easily in 2024, as most people of India are grateful for the hard work he has done in 10 years.

Since he became PM, and particularly during his second mandate, Mr Modi has been reaching out to all those who have hated him: the Muslims, Bollywood, Dalits (who anyway mostly voted for him), Islamic States (such as Qatar or Turkey – to whom India has sent relief during the recent earthquake), Kashmiri Muslims, Christians… etc. This is good: Mr Modi, is the Prime Minister of All Indians, regardless of their castes, religions and ethnicities. But surprisingly, the PM seems to have turned his back to the Hindus who have mostly elected him (out of 450 millions voters, at least 97% were Hindus, and few Sikhs, Jains & Buddhists) ; he also seems to be shunning those individuals who 20, 30, 40 years ago, single handedly – and often against what was politically correct at that time –  fought for the advent of the BJP and Mr Modi, often at the cost of their reputation.

I am thinking for instance about Koenraad Elst, our guru to all, who started defending Hindus before anybody, wrote so many books that were published by Sitaram Goel, and was the first to talk about subjects that were considered then taboo, like Babri Masjid. When he nowdays comes to India for conferences, he is totally ignored by the BJP, and by Mr Modi himself. Yet, the man is broke and in bad health – does he need to die for the Prime Minister to give him some overdue recognition?

I am also thinking about Rajiv Malhotra, who has been defending Hindus, and warning the attempted breakup of India for 40 years, gave his wealth and health to it. Same thing, when he comes to India, though he has more leverage, contacts, and crowds than Koenraad Elst, For instance, recently to launch his book “Snakes in the Ganges”, his ignored by the PMO. Could not have Modi given him a little darshan, a little photo op for that wonderful book? Probably the Prime Minister holds some grudge against him, as Mr Malhotra can be sometimes a little militant and sharp. However, an avowed meditator and yoga practitioner like Narendra Modi, should forgive, and reach out.

We understand that the Prime Minister of India is an extremely busy person, sought out by too many, and that he needs to keep his private space and focus on the most important job : the welfare of India. But I do remember Mr LK Advani, when he was Home Minister as well as Deputy Prime Minister of India, a double job which kept him extremely busy: he had always some time, and for instance, inaugurated in Habitat Centre Delhi our Kashmiri Pandit exhibition, helped Visa problems of people of Auroville which we presented him, and received many times my wife Namrita and myself in his home or in his office.

I was probably the only western journalist who ardently defended Mr Modi at the time of Godhra, when he was accused of having encouraged Hindu mobs to kill Muslims in Gujarat, which is totally untrue. I did this at the expense of my reputation, once being thrown out by the then French Ambassador, Jérôme Bonnafont, after we had an argument about Mr Modi. I have NEVER asked anything for myself nor for my wife, neither to Mr Advani or Mr Murli Manohar Joshi, who remains a friend up to today.

Since a year, I have been trying to bring to Mr Modi a delegation of people from Auroville, which has been suffering greatly, because the Indian Government has nominated a Secretary – Dr Jayanti Ravi –  who is not only cutting the forests of Auroville – the only green haven in the plains of Tamil Nadu – but destroying also the very unique social, economic & political fabric of Auroville and its residents. She has as well been using visa blackmail against westerners who have opposed her. I have never received even an acknowledgement of Mr Modi, or his private secretary, or from the PMO.

Let me finally add that, since I was a young journalist covering India and witnessed the ethnic cleansing of the Pandits in the valley of Kashmir, I had been an ARDENT and a militant defender of Hindus. Not only they are wonderful people, but also the holders of the last spiritual knowledge in this world : « who am I, what happens when I die, what is an avatar, what is dharma, what is karma »… etc. As such, I can maybe accept that Mr Modi confers the Padma Vibhushan to Mulayam Singh, who killed a hundred or so Hindus in Ayodhya (& boasted about it), but I cannot understand why Mr Modi appears sometimes to have turned his back on Hindus themselves, who had been killed in great numbers since he came to power : whether in Kerala, in West Bengal, or Sadhus in Madhya Pradesh, and wants to keep a distance with those who fought for his advent in power of his party and ultimately himself. Gratitude is also a Divine quality.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PRIME MINISTER @NarendraModi about ‪#‎BiharElections‬

Dear Mr Prime Minister,
Journalists, Leftists, intellectuals, will say Bjp4india lost Bihar because of intolerance. But my feeling is that the consolidated Hindu vote in Bihar got very confused by your image of extreme tolerance in the face of so much slander, demonization, falsehood, personal attacks on yourself, which have damaged India’s reputation abroad. – and your silence about it.
The truth is that while in Gujarat, you were in the center of India and you had still had access to people who dared tell you the truth, not only Delhi is an arrogant, self centred, decentred capital, far way from central and south India, but there are also a hundred layers between you and the people of India, from security, to bureaucrats to your ministers.
There also always has been in your country a bhakti-like tendency to tell the kings, maharajas, gurus, prime ministers, WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR, not what is the reality and you are a also victim of that streak.
Your top people, advisers, are not telling you that the grassroot votebank of Hindus, from the Dalits to the Brahmins, who voted massively for you in the general elections two years ago, are getting very confused. For they voted for the fiery, no nonsense, non politically correct @NarendraModi, who dared to call a spade a spade, who was not afraid of pointing at his enemies and falsehood, who in short, was a defender of the Hindu values, this universal Dharma, that is in fact the most tolerant and wise surviving Knowledge, in a world racked by monotheistic credos.
True you are the Prime Minister of every Indian, and everybody understands that. You yourself, have given ample proof of that since you came to power, by reaching out to even those who wanted you dead. But nobody understands why you have not raised your voice against the terribly untruthful media and intellectual campaign that has been going on against Hindus and yourself for two years. Nobody understands why you seem more tolerant of these enemies than your own people. For instance, MANY OF YOUR HINDU VOTERS DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU LET Subramanian Swamy OR @ARUNSHOURIE BE ATTACKED BY YOUR OWN PEOPLE. THEY HAVE STOOD BY YOU AND SHOULD BE DEFENDED BY YOU. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF MR VAJPAYEE: HINDU LEADERS WHEN THEY COME TO POWER WANT TO BE LOVED – EVEN BY THEIR ENEMIES – WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE. YOU NEED TO BE THE PUTIN OF INDIA – MAYBE HATED BY YOUR ENEMIES, BUT LOVED AND RESPECTED BY YOUR OWN PEOPLE WHO VOTED YOU TO POWER.
Also, why is it, that as every Congress Prime Minister before you, you go to the Valley of Kashmir and announce huge economic packages, which not only subside the separatist movement but also CHANGE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO THE PRO-PAKISTANI FEELING OF THE MUSLIMS OF THE VALLEY OF KASHMIR?
SIR I BESEECH YOU, YOU NEED TO HAVEA BOARD OF FRIENDLY but NON- BJP INTELLECTUALS AND JOURNALISTS, WHO FROM TIME TO TIME, SAY TWICE A MONTH, GIVE YOU A FRANK AND TRUTHFUL ASSESSMENT OF WHAT THE PEOPLE OF INDIA THINK – PARTICULALRY YOUR VOTE BANK OF 500 MILLION HINDUS, WHOM YOU ARE GOING TO NEED AGAIN IN 3 YEARS TIME.
HAVE SOME HUMILITY SIR, WE ALL LOVE YOU AND YOU ARE INDIA’S BEST CHANCE FOR THE RENAISSANCE SHE SO BADLY NEEDS: AS SRI AUROBINDO SAID, THIS TYPE OF DIVINE GRACE COMES ONCE IN A CENTURY.

An open letter to @NarendraModi, from Francois Gautier

An open letter to the Prime Minister
Dear @NarendraModi,

I am sure you know the story of Prithviraj Chauhan & Muhammad Ghori of Afghanistan. Ghori attacked India multiple times, but he was first routed in present day Gujarat by Mularaja-II, then in Kayadara near Mount Abu, in 1178 A.D, where he was also resoundingly defeated. In the first battle of Taraori in 1191, Prithviraj Chauhan’s cavalry charged and wiped out the Afghan cavalry and captured Ghori. Ghori begged for his life and Prithviraj, like a true Hindu, allowed him to go, despite his generals begging him not to do so.

The very next year, however, Ghori re-attacked Prithiviraj with a stronger army and defeated him by attacking the Rajput army before daybreak. (Hindus followed a noble practice of battling only from sunrise up to sunset). The defeated Prithiviraj was taken as a captive to Ghor in Afghanistan, where first his eyes were burnt with red hot iron rods, as he looked at Muhammad Ghori straight into the eyes, and then executed. Thus ended the story of the brave but unrealistic Prithviraj Chouhan – the last Hindu ruler of Delhi. As you know, Mr Prime Minister, Delhi was to remain under Muslim rule for the next 700 years till 1857, and under British rule till 1947. And since 1947, until you came to power, it has been mostly ruled by the Gandhi dynasty, who think of India as their fiefdom, the same way the Moghols and the English did.

Is the story of Hindu blind and foolhardy tolerance over? Not at all! As you know, when Mr Vajpayee came to power, he gave orders to leave Sonia Gandhi alone. His Friday man, Brajesh Mishra, is even said to have rescued Rahul Gandhi, when he was caught in the US with a suitcase full of cash. Did it earn Sonia Gandhi’s gratitude? No ll! The BJP lost the next elections, as Prithrivaj lost his next battle to Ghauri and Mrs Gandhi efficiently and ruthlessly went all out after the BJP, and particularly against you, Mr @NarendraModi. She may have even known about the bombs in Bihar, during your election campaign, that could have killed you and jeopardized the entire future of India.

It is true, that for the moment you are at the top of your popularity and everything that you do is perceived positively by the public. Yet we know that all cannot be under your total control: the economy, the weather, the changing public moods can alter this wave. We have also seen also how your are not able to pass your important bills in Parliament, which has been held to ransom by Mrs Gandhi, who has only 44 MP’s, a hijack of the democratic system if there is one…

Since coming to power, you seem to be showing lenience and have no bitterness towards those who even savagely went after you when you were CM of Gujarat – including @SoniaGandhiGi, whom you greet on her birthday, as if she is your oldest friend. Nevertheless, it is my belief that as long as Sonia Gandhi is in India, she will be a danger to you, as she is the only one around whom not only the Congress can focus, but also other hostile forces: Sri Aurobindo insisted a lot on the role of ‘occult’ forces, that is asuric forces who use human beings to do harm. @SoniaGandhiG is such a person, and she did a lot of harm to India during the ten years when the @INCIndia Congress was in power when she acted like an empress, over the head of the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, though she was only an MP’s, like 525 others.

The idea is that when she goes abroad, which she does frequently and secretly, at the cost of the Indian taxpayer, she be declared persona non grata in India for all the money she stashed abroad, (I am sure Mr @AjitDoval can provide you will al the data). Facts should be then revealed to the press and you should keep away from the controversy and act as it was not in your hands. She is not a very courageous person, and I doubt she would fight at this stage. Her children should be left alone, as Rahul has already ridiculed himself countless of times and Priyanka has Robert Vadra around her neck.

I beg you Sir, do not to repeat the mistake of Prithviraj Chauhan, which cost India so dearly. You of all men, have understood the discourse of Lord Krishna to Arjuna: “that when you country is in danger, your borders are breached, your community ridiculed and ostracized, your people converted by the millions”, it is all right to use force and even sometimes violence.

Yours in Mother India’s love
